TGIF

I am SO thankful that today is FRIDAY! Today is also my last day of student teaching, which makes me happy and sad at the same time. I am going to miss some of my "kids." Graduation is 14 days away, this makes me nervous and excited at the same time.
I heard back from a school today, and I tenatively have an interview in Hesperia on the 16th of May!! Yeah baby! :) This makes me excited....a road trip to LA right after grad...sweetness. Talk about good times..a road trip with my little brother.
Anyway, Rosh still hasn't had her baby yet, and I wish that this little one would decide to make his/her appearance soon...we're all dying to see this kid before gradution.
Well, thats all of the news here.

My awful, horrible, rotten, no good day

So I classified today as a crappy day, just based on the events at school that happend before lunch.
First hour went wonderful! :) Second hour, different story. I had to send a student to the principals office for inappropriate use of a computre. Third hour I caught a student cheating on a test. I have to call this student's parents and inform them of what happend...grr. Then, before lunch I recieved an e-mail from MVCS informing me that the Board on Monday night decided to postpone their decision about the middle school position that I would like to have until the end of April. So, IF I am going to teach at MVCS, I won't know until the beginning of May....GRRR!!!!!!! Thankfully, I still have other schools that I am looking into. There is a school in NW Iowa that I need to write a cover letter and send in my resume. Hopefully I'll get an interview, and if I really like the school, a contract! :)
Okay, its late, and I need my beauty sleep.

April or January?!?

It has been snowing off and on all day...and I'm starting to doubt whether or not it is actually April. It is suppose to snow off and on for the rest of the week. What happened to wearing shorts and capris in spring. I am getting tired of wearing my sweaters...
I am also tired of getting strung along believing that I might finally have a job. But alas, it is not true. Oh well....I guess I'm back to waiting patiently on God.
A month until graduation....scary.

Waiting....

Contracts go out this week, and I'm "patiently" waiting. For those of you who know me really well know that me waiting patiently is something that I am not really good at. I am suppose to hear back from a school some time today and other school by Wednesday. I really like both of these schools, and I would be honored to teach at either one of them. If I recieve a contract from both of them, I don't know how I would make this decision. :S I have also now come to a peace that if I don't recieve a contract that it will be okay, and that in God's timing I will have a classroom of my very own...I just might have to wait a year. Thankfully schools are always in a need of a sub, so hopefully I can stay busy with that.

So Apparently I'm not from California

My passport came in the mail yesterday. Thats a good thing right? Well, it is if the government prints your passport correctly. According to my passport I wasn't born in California, I was born in Georgia....interesting. Hopefully they fix it for me because I am CALIFORNIAN!
Okay, I'm off my soapbox. I had 4 interviews this week. I think that 3 for the 4 are very promising. Now I just have to wait and see what schools contact me again and offer me a contract. Patience isn't a virtue that I posses, so having to wait to hear back from schools is going to kill me. But, I guess that is a good thing that I have to wait, and hopefully in the process I'll learn some patience.
Spring Break starts tomorrow...however I won't be having a real break. I'm working for maintenance cleaning the Science Building. It won't be bad. I think that it will be good for me to have to spend all day doing some phsycial labor...builds character! ;)
I start student teaching again on Monday, and I cannot wait. I am very excited to get back into the classroom! :) I am teaching a nice assortment of social studies classes, which is a good thing! :) I get to go on a "fieldtrip" on Friday too! I am pretty excited about seeing how a field trip works from the teacher perspective. I have a feeling that once again will be learning a lot, which is a very good thing!
